The 'Forever Young' Band Biography - 2010

The Forever Young Band current line-up is Drummer Trevor Young ( Coloured Balls/etc ), Bassist Geordie Leach ( Rose Tattoo/The Giants ), Guitarist James Southwell. The idea for the band was first conceived by Trevor a few years ago, the band the band will always be Forever Young.

This band will sail unchartered musical waters, and draws on all the good things about Australian original music. Influences come from the individual member's many years of experience playing rock, blues, funk and even jazz, but it will not trade on any-one's past glories, as it's a brand new outfit, with an uncomprimising approach and no fear of breaking new ground, as evidenced by one of Trevor Young's favorite saying's: ''The pioneers get the arrows, and the settler's get the land!". T

While it may be hard to describe the music other than original high energy, they can very quickly tell you what it isn't! It's certainly not a band that you might see playing 'covers' at your local pub or club! It's also not music for the feint-hearted, as its delivered with 100% commitment, and the band will not enter into arguments or judgements about 'old-school' vs 'new school', The music comes from an 'inspired state', and crosses all musical boundaries, genre's and demographics.

2010 will see the release of a live DVD/CD, and a new studio album is also in the process, as all members are prolific song-writers. The band will also embark on a series of concert, festival and national tours across the summer of 2010/2011. Their music will remain original, contemporary and proudly Australian in it's themes and approach, as it is their love of all these things that keeps them always 'Forever Young'!!
